Story

How many books can Joel read to Cleo in December?! 10? 20? 30?

Joel and Cleo are using the power of Shared Reading to raise money for First Page - The Reader's project to help children discover the joy and life-long benefits of reading.

Please sponsor Joel as he challenges himself to support this brilliant project. Whether it's an amount per book, or a donation towards his campaign, every little helps.

According to UNESCO, reading for pleasure is the single most important thing that will make a child successful in life (UNESCO, 2011).

Working with partners across the Liverpool City Region, including Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, The Whitechapel Centre, Kinship Carers, Refugee Women Connect and Save the Family, First Page reaches children experiencing a wide range of challenging circumstances such as homelessness, illness, refugee status, and kinship care.
