Story
As a charity The Felix Project do invaluable work feeding the millions in London who aren't able to count on the next meal. Since my dad's retirement, he has looked to use the extra time on his hands to support local charities and he now volunteer's twice a week at The Felix project. He's so passionate about the work that they do and so I have started attending some of his shifts to understand the impact they drive as a charity. On this mornings shift, we delivered two vans worth of food to a local community support centre that help the residents in the surrounding areas of Grenfell, and also a couple of local primary schools for their afterschool clubs.
As I am not able to dedicate the same time my dad does to the charity, I wanted to look into different ways to raise money for their cause. Therefore, I am running the Royal Parks Half Marathon in October.
Every penny raised by you will stop good food from being wasted and get good food to Londoners in need - including children & families, the homeless, the elderly, domestic violence survivors, refugees and more.
Thank you for your generosity - and Dad is always looking for co-pilots in his van so let us know if you want to spend the morning with him!!
