Story

I am a Secondary Breast Cancer patient receiving some of my treatment at Addenbrookes Oncology Outreach Service held at St Georges Medical Centre in Littleport. This service treats cancer patients from not only Littleport, but also Ely and the surrounding villages. I am attempting to raise money towards a vein finder which is quite an expensive item (£4000 approx) and is currently not available at Littleport. This device can really help to make the process of receiving treatments much more comfortable when patients have veins that are damaged/difficult to find. I'd really like to give something back to a community that has loved and supported me so this winter I will be completing as many pool swims and ice bath dips as I can fit in. This won't be easy for me, I'm definitely a hot house flower and not a chilly willy! I'm planning on dipping through to the end of January, please donate if you can, you will be helping so many local cancer patients xxx

About the charity

We want to ensure that every patient at Addenbrooke's and the Rosie hospitals experiences the highest quality of care available. We raise funds for cutting edge technology, additional specialist staff and extra comforts for patients, over and above what is possible with NHS funding alone.
