Story
For almost 30 years, staff at Nightingale House Hospice have created an environment that gives patients and their loved ones quality time to spend together. Not having to worry about the care a loved one receives, knowing they are in safe hands means every second spent together is dignified and peaceful.
This became real for me, when my lovely husband Richard passed away at the hospice on June 23rd 2022. Everyone there was so incredible with Richard and their support blew me away. It made me realise how lucky we are to have this charity for our use. All services are completely free-of-charge to those they support, so it is a true blessing within our community.
This is why I want to give back to the hospice, for the wonderful care which Richard and our family received. I want to pay forward for more people to be able to use this amazing service in the future. I will be completing the Alps Trek in September this year, which will be a challenge, but one I am excited to do, as my way of giving back. If you can support me in this exciting adventure, I would be so grateful. I think we all need to support this wonderful charity if we can, because I don’t know what we would do if it wasn’t here anymore.
