Story
Every summer in the 70s and early 80s, my life revolved around watching the Tour de France. When I wasn’t watching cycling, I’d be out on my bike with my cousin, traversing the roads in and around Autun in le Morvan, where I spent all my holidays. Now living in London, my love for the sport has remained, and if I’m not cycling to work every day, I’m out training in the countryside, clocking up the miles for my greatest adventure yet, L’Étape du Tour de France.
An immense sporting challenge, L’Étape du Tour de France invites cycling enthusiasts to complete one of the mountain stages of the Tour de France: a 138km route with more than 4,600 metres of ascent. Training for this epic challenge has been a gruelling but rewarding experience. From early morning rides to intense hill climbs, I’ve pushed myself to the limit in preparation for the big day on 7th July 2024.
When I decided to take on this challenge, I knew I wanted a purpose behind it, something that would get me through those wet, cold winter training sessions. That’s why I chose to support and raise funds for AFK (Action for Kids), a local charity that supports disabled children and young people and one that Les 2 Garçons has a close relationship with, having hosted their recent fundraiser dinner in October last year.
By sponsoring my efforts at L’Étape du Tour de France, you will provide much-needed funds for a charity that helps children and young people with disabilities and autism live more independent, fulfilling lives.
Support me as I pedal towards my goal and make a positive impact.
Merci beaucoup!
