Story
Last year I ran the length of the London Underground covering 572km in 11 days.
I’m stepping things up a notch this year, and during suicide prevention month this September I will be running over 960km in 11 days to all of the capital cities of the UK and Ireland. Starting in Edinburgh on 12th September, onto Belfast, down to Dublin, across to Wales to Cardiff and finishing in London.
I’ve not always been a runner, only picking it up properly in 2019 and now I have a run club Scrambled Legs where every Saturday we got out and help other people reach their running goals. It started small, and now it’s a community of 13,000 members who have made connections with people as adults, so people don’t feel alone and I’m so proud of the community we have built.
The support you showed me last year as I ran the London Underground was incredible and it showed me that we are not alone in our challenges, so I invite you all to join me in any and all of the cities I am running through during this challenge.
My goal is to raise £100,000 for CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) who lead the fight against suicide. Every week, we lose 125 lives to suicide in the UK and CALM are doing something about it, but they need your help!
For this challenge, Lululemon are generously matching donations up to £50,000 to help hit this target, and support the vital work CALM are doing across the UK. T&Cs apply, link here.
