On Sunday 29 September I'll be returning to the streets of West London to run the Ealing Half Marathon to try and raise some more funds for Greenside Primary School which both my children have attended.

Last year you wonderful people took the total to £800 so if I can get anywhere near that I'll be delighted.

With money needed for playground upgrades and other enriching schemes for the children, every pound will make a difference.

To make training a bit more interesting I've been running an A-Z of London football clubs. It's early days but so far I've run from Shepherd's Bush to Arsenal, Brentford, Chelsea, Dulwich Hamlet and Edgware & Kingsbury - hopefully I'll do the rest before the end of the year.

To put it in context, none of those runs are as long as a half marathon so I'm going to have push even harder to get to the finish.
