Story

Myself and my Dad are attempting to raise money for the Mito Mission which helps raise awareness, support and funds for research into mitochondrial disease.

My sister Hannah and partner Darragh welcomed their first child to the world in November 2022, The amazing Ella. It was soon diagnosed that Ella had a rare mitochondrial disease called Pearson Syndrome, of which there are only 100 recognised cases in the world with a life expectancy of only 3-5 years - she is one very special girl!

Ella had to spend months in intensive care and has regular blood transfusions, but this doesn’t stop her smiling, giggling and showing huge bundles of personality.

The Challenge

On the 27th of August - Myself and my Dad are Playing four consecutive rounds of golf, Challenging to complete within 12 Hours at Outlane Golf Club. This entails Walking 24 Miles up and around hills, Carrying our Golf Clubs. Aiming to score less than 350 overall.

Our missions are run by families affected by mitochondrial disease, mito for short. MILLIONS in the UK have illnesses which also involve mitochondrial damage - diabetes, MS, stroke, some cancers & many more. More research into mitochondrial disease could help so many, not just those with mito.
