Story
UPDATE - This was going to be February but I had an ulcer on my eye which kept me away from the pool unfortunately so will now be March.
This year marks The Pituitary Foundation's 30th anniversary and they are so excited to have a year full of celebrations. Since 1994 they have been supporting anyone affected by pituitary conditions.
To celebrate our 30th Anniversary we're asking EVERYONE in the community to help us celebrate by taking on their own "30" themed fundraiser to help ensure we are here for the next 30 years and beyond.
I've taken on all challenges from marathons, skydives, half marathons, abseils, zip lines, climbing all of the mountains in the UK and much more - the one challenge I've not taken on is a swimming challenge as by my own admission I'm a very weak swimmer. But during MarchI WILL swim 50 lengths per day or if I'm struggling on some days then a bare minimum of 30 lengths.
I've not set foot in a gym for over 6 months due to illness or injury (so I'm unfit), covid wiped me out for 3 weeks during January and I didn't eat for 16 days and the pool is absolutely freezing, so for me this will be a personal hell and very much a challenge as I'm not in the best of shape physicallly and still feel weak from the recent covid bout.
ANY DONATION WOULD HELP!!!!
The Pituitary Foundation has changed a lot in those 30 years, from being run by a small group of volunteers and medical professionals. But today their cause is still as clear and compelling as ever, to improve care and reduce diagnosis time.
