In memory of Ste Rizzotti
Story
Cam & Mac, our son-in-laws and Gary Evans, our family friend will be running the London marathon on the 27th April in memory of Ste, many family and friends will be attending to cheer them on!
In March 2024, we were given the worst possible news my lovely husband Ste had Cancer. This was a complete shock and soon after diagnosis we learned that sadly the cancer was too advanced for any treatment, our plan was always for Ste to remain in our home surrounded by our family until it was time for us to say goodbye. Unfortunately, Ste’s condition progressed so rapidly that for the last week of his final journey he had to bravely make the decision we couldn’t and go into Halton Haven Hospice, this was the worst outcome we could of hoped for.
Upon arrival at the Hospice, we were greeted by such a caring wonderful Staff who from the off, made Ste so comfortable, giving us time to be with him as a family. During our time there, we felt so supported and Ste was treated like a king and we indeed felt that the Haven was a home from home. We are so fortunate to have this amazing place on our doorstep in our hour of need!
We will never be able to thank The Haven and Staff enough for the time we spent with them, but by raising money we would like to think we are helping this wonderful place to continue, so that another family just like ours gets some comfort during the most difficult time of their lives. We are forever grateful x
