In memory of Tom Jones
The Tom Jones In Memorium Fund has been launched to celebrate Tom's life and fundraise for community sports groups and activities across Worcestershire. Hosted by Worcestershire Community Foundation, the Fund will support sports loved by Tom.

Story

This Fund has been set up to celebrate the memory of a young student Tom Jonah Jones from Bromsgrove who died in a tragic accident in the River Severn in September 2018. Tom was just 18 and in the first week of starting a teaching degree course at the University of Worcester.

Tom was an immensely popular young man, with a huge love of sport and life; he had everything before him and his wide circle of family and friends were devastated by his sudden and unexplained loss.

Partnering with Worcester Community Foundation, this Fund is about celebrating Tom's life and at the same time raising funds for the causes that he was passionate about.

For this reason, all funds raised will go towards supporting sports-related groups and projects across Worcestershire; we aim to raise funds to provide opportunities for children and young adults through working closely with schools, colleges, universities and local sports groups.
