Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Despite only starting my running journey mid-2024 I have decided to do something stupid and sign up for the Bracknell half marathon on Sunday 11th May 2025. I will be using this event to raise funds for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Multiple Sclerosis is a horrible condition that has had a big impact on the lives of me and my family. Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a neurological condition - that means it affects your nerves. You get it when your immune system isn’t working properly.

Your immune system normally protects you by fighting off infection, but in MS it attacks your nerves by mistake. Your nerves control lots of different parts of your body. That’s why you can get MS symptoms in many parts of your body.

The MS Society fund world-leading research, share the latest information and campaign for everyone's rights. They play a leading role in MS research and fight for better treatment and care for the MS community.

Last year they:

- Reached thousands of people with help and support through our MS Helpline and local groups.

- Successfully campaigned on the issues that matter most to our community.

- Continued to invest in groundbreaking research to stop MS in its tracks
