Rutland Spring Half Marathon · 7 April 2024

The Brittle Bone Society provides support for people affected by the rare, and painful bone condition Osteogenesis Imperfecta. It provides specialist advice, support and equipment to people with the condition, their families and carers, medical and other professionals.

Story

My brother, Darren, was the kindest, funniest (sometimes idiotic) and most incredible person I've ever known. This was despite the many challenges he had to face having Brittle Bones. The thought that I could convert the act of me stupidly (and perhaps slightly drunkenly) signing up to a half marathon in a pub into raising some money for other people facing similar difficulties is a lovely one.

Before signing up to this, I had run one 10k around 10 years ago so this is going to be tough! Anything you wish to donate would be very much appreciated! Even if you don't want to donate, please send positive thoughts/prayers to help me actually pull this thing off! Who knows, one day I might even recover!
