Team Sobell take on the iconic London Marathon on Sunday 27th April 2025.

Story

I will be running the 2025 London Marathon for Team Sobell House Hospice. This is in honour of Dad, Michael Evans who lost his 2 year battle with a rare and aggressive form of bowel cancer in October 2023. This is in addition to the Oxford Half in October 2024 that falls the day before the 1 year anniversary of Dad's passing at Sobell House. Dad was at Sobell for the last weeks of his life and we made so many special memories during that time, with thanks to the staff for taking good care of him and us as a family.

I will also be running in memory of my uncle Mark Whittaker and my childhood football coach Gary Hibbins who passed away at Sobell House in June and March 2024 respectively.

It will be an honour and privilege to run for Sobell House Hospice in memory of family and friends that have been supported by them in recent times. On behalf of us all, thank you.
