My beautiful wife Jennifer and the mother to our 2 amazing boys was diagnosed with breast cancer in January this year. Jen underwent a lumpectomy, 4 brutal rounds of chemo and 10 sessions of radiotherapy.

For those that know Jen, you won't be surprised to learn that she smashed it with her determination and a wee bit of stubbornness!

The Beatson has been unbelievable in their care and support of Jennifer and everyone else who enters their facilities.

To do my bit and show my appreciation, I've entered the Devil o' the Highlands Ultramarathon taking place 12 August. It's a 42mile/69km run from Tyndrum to Fort William with 6500ft/1981m ascent along the West Highland Way.

As some of you know I've raised money in the past for friends close to me, but this time I'm asking you to dig deep so that others in a similar position to Jennifer, continue to receive the care they need during their darkest hours.
