City & Guilds Bike ride 2023
You may remember our City & Guilds bike ride of 2021, if not don’t worry you’ll get the chance to revisit those memories with us as we have a new challenge for 2023.
Back in 2021, coming out of the Covid years, Paul Tunnicliffe, Jason Benn, David Phillips, Bee Hurd and I set about a tour from Wakefield to London. We were supported by Barbara Ellul and Amelia Woodwood in their tour bus supplying ample food and snacks. It was 220 miles in 3 days and with Amelia’s support I managed to still put on 6 lbs!
It was a great opportunity to promote our local offices, to generate interest in healthy living, raise funds for charities and bring people together.
Well, we enjoyed it so much we wanted to do it again. With the news that our esteemed colleague and bike buddy David Phillips was moving on in the new year we decided to organise another, albeit shorter bike ride. This gives us another opportunity to generate interest in all the positives from bike ride 1 two years ago.
So, this time we are doing a single day from Wakefield to Warrington on the 7th September. This is for our own general wellbeing and to again raise funds for charity, details to follow.
We will be leaving Wakefield at around 8.30am on the 7th September and hope to arrive in Warrington around 3.00pm, would be great to see you all.
