Jasmine's London Marathon fundraiser for Coram in loving memory of Max Crew-Gee

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
In loving memory of my darling brother, I’m running the 2024 Richmond Half-Marathon, 2025 Victoria Park Half Marathon and 2025 TCS London Marathon (yikes) to raise money for Coram.
As many of you know, my kind, generous, hilarious brother Max died on 25th February 2024. He was an adored daddy, son, brother and friend and has left a gaping hole in our lives.
I will always remember Max as incredibly brave; he faced a myriad of mental health and personal difficulties throughout his life which were worsened by a health and social care system which failed him and our family time and time again. I hope that by running for Coram I can, in a small way, help to partake in the conversations, research and initiatives which will ensure vulnerable young people do not face the same challenges that Max did.
Coram is the UK's first children's charity and they have worked tirelessly to improve children's chances in life since they were founded 285 years ago. Today, they champion children's rights and wellbeing, making lives better through legal support, expert advocacy, adoption services and therapeutic, educational and cultural programmes.
Coram's recent work has included reframing the conversation around youth offending, opposing the Rwanda Bill by highlighting its implications for unaccompanied children, bringing a legal challenge to the lack of legal aid for those appealing school exclusion decisions and leading debates at party conferences prior to the 2024 General Election. Coram's mission lies very close to my heart, and the work they do to ensure both that young people are given a voice and that the most vulnerable children in our society do not slip through the cracks is unparalleled.
I imagine running this far is going to be very hard, but I'll have Max's Spotify playlists to hand...
Thank you very much for reading, and please donate whatever you feel comfortable with - every little helps!
Love, Jasmine xx
