Story
Hello!
I am delighted to announce that I am running the Great North Run 2023 (albeit very last minute) for the charity Bright Red on the 10th September 2023. This is a northern-based charity located at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle who aim to improve the lives of those diagnosed with blood cancers. This charity have been so amazing for my lovely dad. Sadly dad was diagnosed with a primary CNS (central nervous system) brain lymphoma, an extremely rare type of blood cancer, back in April this year. This was and continues to be the hardest thing my family have had to deal with, but with the support from Bright Red, it has made our journey a little bit easier.
Any donations would be amazing for Bright Red to continue their efforts to supporting blood cancer patients and raising awareness for blood cancers. One specific thing that has been amazing for us that Bright Red have achieved is their refurbishment of the cancer wards day room. We have spent many hours in that room, as it provides a break from the beeps and bleeps and the general hospital environment, thus providing a sense of normality. Additionally, dads long inpatient stays have been made a little more bearable thanks to Bright Red's funding of the free viewing of the TVs. I am over the moon to run and raise money for them. ❤️
Any donations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I am running this just for you dad. You legend ❤️
