Story
Hartley was diagnosed with Leukemia in April last year. Hartley was treated in Bristol which meant that Dan and I had to live separate from our two girls and stay in Bristol for 8 months so that we could both be there for Hartley during his first course of treatment. Young lives funded our accomodation for the duration of this time within Sam’s house and still continue to support us through our social worker. It is a fantastic charity and I am so happy I can give back to a charity that has helped our family so much.
When a child is diagnosed with cancer life becomes full of fear, for them and their family. Fear of treatment, but also of families being torn apart, overwhelming money worries, of having nowhere to turn, no one to talk to.
At Young Lives vs Cancer, we help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. We’ll face it all together – but we can’t do it without you.
