Story
My story
In 2020 I lost my Dad (lovingly known as Trunce) to cancer. He had been cared for by mum for almost a year. He was cared for in his final hours by the amazing staff at Bicton Heath. The nurses were simply incredible and we all felt very much at peace as did Dad when he was there.
My challenge
This will be my second marathon - the first one I completed on my 55th birthday. A complete non-runner previously…well not since my late teens I seem to have caught the bug
So….I’m running the London Marathon in 2025 on behalf of Severn hospice to raise vital funds and also raise awareness of the amazing work they do
The charity
Severn Hospice provides specialist care and emotional support for families in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales living with an incurable illness. All our care is provided for free, but it is not without cost - we have to raise £2 for every £3 we spend. It's because you care that we can.
