I am again taking part in the UK Charity All Stars 2024 in Sheffield. I am playing for the team Mental Health and this year I will be raising funds for The Samaritans. The change in my charity of support was done in recognition of the support that Samaritans offered me in the summer of 2023.

In the lead up to All Stars 2023, I had been under considerable stress at work and ended up burning out, which then set my mental health back big time. I spent most of my time sleeping and/or hiding away from the world. Talking to the Samaritans was a life saver and was one of my dedicated support networks set up with my therapist.

Samartians offer life saving support to those suffering with mental health issues, but also to those who might be having other struggles in life and they are always on hand to listen.
