ChestaZebra is competing in the Pantomime Horse Race at 1pm on Sunday 4 August in aid of the Hospice of the Good Shepherd! Please support this little fellow, all donations welcome big or small.

On Saturday 3 August the people of Chester were amazed to see a Zebra saunter along Foregate Street! They took lots of photos of #ChestaZebra and there were lots of laughs (one small child cried but you can’t please everyone 😂). A BIG THANK YOU to all those lovely people who sponsored #ChestaZebra yesterday especially those in the Spookton Brew Co and Wetherspoons!

ChestaZebra can be very naughty when out training, trying to hide on all the Zebra crossings. We’re doing our best to teach him good manners for the Race on Sunday 4 August, but we’re a bit worried that all the public attention on the day will make him even naughtier! Watch this space …

You can see from the 2023 pictures that ChestaZebra is dwarfed by the other contenders, only 5ft. Still, we have a big heart and we hope you do too and support us and the Hospice with a good donation!

In 2023 Jan Chillery of Aaron & Partners (and chair of Chester Business Club) and her daughter Bessie Belcher (Queens Park High School) raised over £1,000 for the very wonderful Hospice for the Good Shepherd.

The team are busy getting ChestaZebra zesty for the big race. It’s hard work training a Zebra, but as always we’re determined to “go the extra mile!”
