Story
We are a small group of old friends who, a long time ago, taught together (average age 76?).
In recent years we have held very successful coffee mornings and with the support of friends and family have been able to send hundreds of pounds to the Brain Tumor Research charity. Unfortunately, this year, due to COVID and other problems, this was not possible.
As a team we are going to walk a marathon 26.2 miles, each contributing our effort to the total. We realize it's not a huge challenge compared with skydiving, climbing Ben Nevis or white-water rafting, but we hope that with your help we can raise some serious money to support the amazing work of this charity and finish the year on a high note.
With love and thanks,
Ange, Mary, Stella, Rosemary, Pat and Jan
Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. This is unacceptable!
I am fundraising for Brain Tumour Research as they are the only national charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research in the UK. Please help me fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
