The SOS Africa Children’s Charity (UK Charity No. 1188705) is a UK based grassroots child sponsorship organisation which invests 100% of the funds you donate to SOS Africa into the education and care of disadvantaged South African children.

The charity was founded by Shepton Mallet student Matt Crowcombe during his gap year to South Africa. Since 2003 SOS Africa has provided disadvantaged children, from grades 1 to 12, with a personal education programme or learning support scheme tailored specifically to their needs. This holistic approach enables children to break the cycle of poverty and reach their full potential.

21 years on, the first SOS Africa graduates are thriving at university or in fulltime employment. Today the charity runs 5 education centres across 3 regions supporting hundreds of disadvantaged South African children.

For more information about SOS Africa, please email Matt Crowcombe: matt@sosafrica.com.
