Story
Our lovely dad and husband Harry died of aspergillus pneumonia due to non-small cell lung cancer. We all thought cancer was the Big Worry, it turned out no, it was this unexpected fungal infection that consumed his lung that took him.
Rather than flowers, we know he would prefer donations to fund research into aspergillus.
You can read more about the work the research centre does and how they are helping people now and in the future
Thank you,

The National Aspergillosis Centre (NAC) and Manchester Fungal Infection Group (MFIG) have spent over 20 years fighting aspergillosis alongside the Fungal Infection Trust (FIT), making huge strides in improving patients' quality of life throughout the UK and the world.
Many patients that came to NAC 20 years ago with gradually worsening symptoms having spent years going from doctor to doctor searching for help often have had years of symptom stability after pioneering diagnosis and treatment for aspergillosis.
Today we have highly refined diagnostics and management protocols that are followed around the world and thousands more aspergillosis patients are being better managed as awareness of aspergillosis have vastly improved.
Sadly this disease is still mostly not curable, there is still a need for new classes of antifungal treatment and the battle against the indiscriminate use of antifungal chemicals by farmers, spreading resistance to antifungal drugs remains ongoing.
