Pilgrimage walk to Santiago Compostela · 31 March 2025

We are there wherever the need is greatest to build a better world together

Story

As 2025 has been designated as the Year of Hope, I decided to set myself a personal challenge. My daughter Emily and I have decided to walk the St James' Way also known as the Camino Ingles. The walk is in two halves and we have already started to walk the first part of the route from Reading to Southampton (106km) and then we will complete the pilgrimage by walking from Ferrol to Santiago Compostela in Northern Spain ( 119km) over 5 consecutive days starting on March 31st. I thought that this would also provide an opportunity to raise funds for CAFOD. The charity works with local partners and communities across the world - responding to emergencies, promoting long-term development and raising public awareness of the causes of poverty. They work with people of all faiths and none for a safe, sustainable and peaceful world.

Emily and I would be very grateful for any donations that we receive to support us in our challenge for CAFOD. Thank you so much for your support.
