We fight cancer to support people and their families.

Story

This year Forterra runners are taking on both The Great North Run and The Royal Parks Half Marathons for Team Verrico.

The charity was set up by Paul Verrico after he lost his wife, Anna, to triple negative breast cancer at a very early age, leaving Paul and their two young children. The charity sets out to help those diagnosed with terminal or rare cancers by funding second opinions with top consultants, offering support both emotionally and financially for the families of those affected including providing transport, childcare, meals and even the basics such as cleaning services. They aim to try to make the mundane burdens easier while a family copes with the devastating news a cancer diagnosis can be.

This year we've had a great response from our Forterra runners and our teams are;

GNR - Gareth Evans, Lee Emmonds, Zak Trainor, Dominic Davies, Reece Shipman, Stephen Hill and Richard Yates.

Royal Parks - Gareth Evans (yes, he's doing both) Gary Bell, Jenifer Freeman, Dominic Troop, Darren Rix, Neil McLafferty Sean Mountford, Charlotte Moorby and me, Jane Elliott.

Please show your support by donating to this wonderful charity. Every little helps enormously.
