Story
It’s always going to be about my mother, who we lost when I was 5. She was only 30. My amazing selfless nana who brought myself and three sisters up. Who just like anyone else didn’t deserve to die of this, when she was 80. We owe everything to her.
Luckily my sons were as lucky as we were with grandparents, but unfortunately we lost their Grampa Glan to this disease as well. He was always there for his grandchildren, Glan cabs. And is so missed. Then last year we lost Sam’s godfather, Carl. Another one who didn’t deserve to die so young.
Right now a good friend who means the world to us has just been told he’s got cancer for the 3rd time. That is the push for this year’s challenge. He’s fighting it with all he’s got. So walking for 2 days is nothing in comparison.
But, alongside all the heart ache of loosing people, there have been friends and family who have had the all clear. And that’s all thanks to the donations that make the research possible. So believe me every donation means everything 💝
