Story
As many of you know, I was in Kolkata in January 2018 and visited many of HOPE’s schools, residential homes, their hospital, their wonderful cafe and shop, the life skills centre, etc. I also went on night watch in the HOPE ambulance where they assist the homeless people with medicines, advice and mental health support. I sponsor 2 young children and my first sponsored child is now an adult, living independently and earning a living, thanks to HOPE’s wonderful education programme and support. I’m passionate about this charity and the incredible work they do.
By signing up to Footsteps For HOPE, from 12 April until 12 May, I will walk 10,000 steps a day, in solidarity with street-connected children, to raise vital funds to sustain HOPE's education programmes.
Please either sign up to join the challenge, donate or share awareness.
Thank you for your support. Anything you donate will make a massive difference.
More details about the charity below:
The Hope Foundation (HOPE) is a charity working with street-connected children in Kolkata, India, and empowering them with education.
Often these marginalised children are first-generation learners, who with HOPE's help are enabled with education to break their cycle of hardship and build better futures for themselves.
