Jamie’s fundraiser for MS Society UK

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
As many of you know, I have been trying to run the London Marathon for the last 8 years with no avail. However, at long last my time has finally come and I am beyond lucky to be supporting a charity so close to mine and my families hearts.
On Monday 14th February 2011, my Father-in-Law - Kenny - was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, otherwise known as MS.
MS is a lifelong condition affecting the brain and nerves, but those who suffer with and have seen those suffer with will confirm it is and can be so much more than that, the list of things MS can affect is truly endless.
Kenny has taken his diagnosis head on and in the last 14 years has faced hurdles and bumps in the road. However, his sheer determination to not let MS take away from his quality of life as best he can is truly admirable and I take my hat off to him and his bravery.
I feel the least I can do whilst ticking something off from my bucket list, is to support a charity like MS Society UK. To not only raise money towards a better future for MS sufferers like Kenny, but for the countless amount of other people currently suffering.
MS society UK says - “Our ultimate goal is to find treatments for everyone. Until then, we're working to make sure no one has to face MS alone.”
And that is absolutely something I can get behind.
Please share and donate whatever you can.
Here’s to working towards a world free from the effects of MS. 🧡
