Jamie Henshaw London Marathon 2025

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
After growing up watching my grandmother, Heather Henshaw, give her heart and soul to preventing cruelty to children through the NSPCC, I am using the 2025 London Marathon as my way of keeping my grandmothers mission going.
My favourite childhood memories are undoubtedly our trips to Sutton-on-sea with my cousins and brother, along with our parents and grandparents. I used to save all my pocket money in the lead up and wait for the day where we could go down to the sea-side and play on two penny push machines all day long with my grandma. Since her passing in 2015 it has been a tradition that we all go to the sea-side on the month of her passing and reminisce the good times we used to have together. So to mark the tenth anniversary of her passing in 2025, I am taking on the incredible challenge of tackling the iconic London Marathon. Heather Henshaw is forever in all of our hearts, and I can confidently say that not a day has gone by where I haven’t thought of her.
A time of under 4 hours and 30 minutes is one that I certainly feel is achievable and is one that I am looking forward to pushing myself towards with the help of every one of you! Once my training begins in September, I will be regularly updating everybody with all progress I make, whatever it may be. While there are definitely already nerves that I am taking on such a challenge, I am pleased to share that it is completely outweighed with the excitement for the journey I am going to be embarking on!
Each donation will go an incredibly long way, no matter how big or small it may be. All of your support is extremely appreciated and I can’t wait to see how much of a difference we can all make as a team together.
