Story
Receiving an end-of-life diagnosis is unimaginably difficult, not just for the patient but also for their loved ones. As many of you know I have personal experience of being at the bedside of a loved one in their final moments and it is nothing short of traumatising.
The only comfort in those moments is the devoted palliative care of Hospicecare teams, who work around the clock to gently support and guide all members of the family during those difficult final moments, be it bringing cups of tea, making pot noodles at 3am, or holding a hand.
At Weston Hospicecare, the team of palliative care experts is dedicated to working together to provide specialist support. Their social, emotional, psychological, spiritual and physical care helps guide people through one of the most difficult experiences they will ever face.
Isn't it ridiculous then that those vital workers only receive 20% of funding from the NHS and therefore have to raise £4 million each year to provide said care.
To raise money for this wonderful team we are returning to the dance floor and taking part in Strictly Fun Dancing, to be held at the Winter Gardens on Saturday 4th November. After a 15 year hiatus, this is a bit of a comeback for us (our bodies will definitely be in some shock!) so please support us by giving as much or as little as you can.
