Bantham Swoosh · 12 July 2025

Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) is a charity set up in 1990 by people sick of seeing the ocean they love polluted. We campaign to protect the ocean and all it makes possible, by taking action on the ground that triggers change from the top. We're calling for an end to sewage and plastic pollution.

Story

On Saturday 12th July 2025 Maisie, Kitty and me are going to have another crack at The Bantham Swoosh, a 6km (3.7 miles) swim down the River Avon in Devon, starting at Aveton Gifford and ending on Bantham Beach.

It's going to be pretty tense this year as none of us have done much (any) training.. so if you would like a ringside seat as we flirt with disaster please sponsor us. We're trying to raise money for the very wonderful Felix project which rescues food that would otherwise go to waste and distributes it to those who need it most.
