Story
MAD Foundation's Operation SafeDrop has been working on the ground in Poland and Ukraine since March 2022 to assist and support Ukrainian families fleeing the conflict to get to a place of safety and refuge.
In the summer of 2022 I joined the team on my first 'run' and since have been involved in 15 Missions that have included delivering humanitarian aid, driving those who need assistance from shelters to a place of safety or onward travel, and also meeting with partners on the ground who support our activities.
We are now entering the start of Phase 4 of Operation SafeDrop which will focus on continuing the delivery of humanitarian aid as well as starting projects that support schools and homes with rebuilding.
Our mission is currently covering 4 key objectives to provide support and assistance as necessary to the following:
- Source and deliver aid to locations across Ukraine, including by working with trusted partners to verify and prioritize types of aid and delivery locations.
- Extract vulnerable groups and individuals from frontline and unsafe locations within Ukraine to our base in Lviv and across the border to Poland with our specialist extraction teams.
- Provide specialist medical evacuation for patients from Southern & Eastern Ukraine to receive specialist treatment in the EU.
- Rebuild homes and community facilities during the war and critical infrastructure after the war.
Please donate anything you can to help.
Note: JustGiving, at the end of the donation process, asks for an optional donation. Please also note that this is nothing to do with Operation SafeDrop and is totally at your discretion - this is not linked to our fundraising so can be set to 1.00 or also zero.
Note: For UK Residents and taxpayers, please select the option of UK GIFT AID to increase the value of your donation which makes a huge difference to the Mission.
