Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am embarking on a journey to run 2475km between 19 Sept 2024 and 26 March 2026 in support of the Operation Chariot Memorial Project. This distance symbolizes the incredible feat achieved by two Army Commandos who escaped to safety after the raid, mirroring their courageous journey. The funds raised will contribute to building a lasting memorial at the national memorial arboretum and promote education about the raid. My personal connection to this cause runs deep as my Great Grandfather served on HMS Campbeltown during the raid, and a memorial would honour his sacrifice and that of countless others. Your donation will help ensure that this poignant story is preserved for future generations. Donating through JustGiving is secure and efficient, directly supporting the charity's mission.
