Story
My Son Jay who is 13 was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis in November 2022.
He is currently taking steroids on a daily basis to help with the inflammation before commencing on a stronger drug to help him live a normal life and participate in all the sports that he loves doing .
He has regular check ups with his consultant , visits the doctors on a weekly basis for his bloods , blood pressure and as a parent you just want your child to live a worry free life .
Please give what you can to help children with Crohn's disease, Ulcerative Colitis and IBDU, collectively known as Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).
Children CICRA with IBD have a very unpleasant lifelong condition, requiring specialist care throughout childhood which does not have the high profile of other conditions such as cancer or cystic fibrosis. It is common for children with IBD to hide their condition from their friends due to embarrassment. Support for children and families in this often lonely position is vital to their wellbeing. CICRA offer support for families and funds vital research. Please give what you can.
Thanks
James
