London Marathon 2025

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
As some of you may know, the last few years have been incredibly challenging for my Mum and our family. We've spent countless hours going back and forth between doctors, hospitals, and specialists, trying to understand what was happening with Mum's health.
Mum received a diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia (FTD) in June 2023.
While this news didn’t come as a complete surprise, it has still hit us hard. FTD is a form of dementia that primarily affects behaviour and social awareness, with memory typically less impacted in the early stages. For those unfamiliar, it’s the same condition that Bruce Willis has been diagnosed with.
I’m running the London Marathon in April 2025 to raise funds for The National Brain Appeal and Rare Dementia Support, a charity that supports vital research and care for those affected by neurological conditions like FTD. I’m doing this not just for Mum, but for all the families impacted by rare dementias and similar conditions. Your support, whether through donations or simply sharing this page, will make a huge difference.
