I’m James, and I’m a local councillor participating in The BIG Sleep Out to help keep vulnerable people from having to sleep rough.

Although Chichester has a reputation for being a cozy affluent city, there are dozens of local people who are at risk of becoming rough sleepers, especially during the cost of living crisis.

In participating in the BIG Sleep Out, I’m hoping to play even a small part in preventing someone from having to sleep rough this year.

The BIG Sleep Out does not aim to replicate homelessness but it will get you out of your comfort zone and give you a small insight into the harsh realities of rough sleeping.
