Story
On the 6th July 2024 I'll be attempting to complete the Peak District Ultra Challenge, a 52km hike in hopefully 12 hours or less to raise as much money for NSPCC as I can. I've set a modest £350 target but with fundraising I'll be doing in store at work and hopefully with your help too, I'd like to smash that out of the park.
Over the weeks leading to the event I'll be competing as many training hikes as I can to prepare myself for the challenge ahead. The varied terrain in the Peak District will certainly be a big challenge. If any of you would like to join me in my training then please give me a shout as I'd love the company, even if it's just for a mile or two.
II'll be taking the Tentbox with me and camping in the Peak District the night before and after the hike. I will have a tracker with me so if you'd like to track me Live during the hike to see my progress and give me your support then please watch out for more details on how to do this nearer the time. I think the more encouragement I get during the hike the more determined I'll be 😀.
The NSPCC is the leading children's charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. We help children who have been abused to rebuild their lives, protect those at risk, and find the best ways of preventing abuse from ever happening.
Every child deserves the best possible chance to rebuild their life after abuse
That’s why we’re here. That's what drives all our work. And that’s why – as long as there’s abuse – we will fight for every childhood.
