Story

Join me in supporting Epilepsy Action!

As most of you are aware, February 2024 I started experiencing seizures, and it completely changed my life. I did not expect things to turn out like this. I have had to stop driving, had to move out of the house I was in so I had more access to public transport, I have had to pause doing field work, and had to change little things about how I live in order to make sure I am staying safe.

The hardest thing in the past year has been learning to manage a new found anxiety of things many people don't think about. Stairs, crossing roads, going out alone, cooking and even making a coffee feel like dangerous activities when you can have a seizure without any notice.

One of the many things Epilespy Action do is provide support through advice and education on how to complete day to day tasks whilst limiting risk. So I'm fundraising for Epilepsy Action this Purple Day to help make sure people with epilepsy continue to get the support they need, when they need it most.

Your contribution will help more people take control of their epilepsy. Thank you for your support.
