Story

On Sunday 27th April 2025, I will be running the London Marathon to raise funds for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY).

Having lost my brother, Alexander, to Sudden Arrhythmia Death Syndrome (SADS) in 2015, CRY is a charity whose work is very close to my heart and I have first-hand experience of the excellent work they do.

Sadly, 12 young people die of undiagnosed heart conditions in the UK every week. CRY works to prevent young sudden cardiac deaths through awareness, screening and research, as well as providing bereavement support to families affected by SADS.

You can find more information about CRY here - https://www.c-r-y.org.uk/

Any donations would be greatly appreciated!

Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by the sudden cardiac death. We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.
