Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Most of us have lost friends to this dreadful disease, which often strikes people in their prime.
My Name'5 Doddie Foundation is doing tremendous work to support research and look for a cure, and I want to do my own bit to help.
Setting out on September 5th, I will be cycling without support or back-up for at least 500 miles, from Lancanau Océane, on the Atlantic Coast near Bordeaux, via Toulouse, to The Mediterranean Coast at Sète, and onwards to Avignon, as I make my way to Scotland v Tonga, RWC 2023, on 24th September. I intend to camp in my bivvy most nights - more of a challenge to a 63 year old than the cycle!
The small photo in my profile is from Coll, an idyllic Hebridean island that has meant a lot to me for many years but has not been immune to the ravages of MND.
I will post updates of my travels every evening ( you don't have to read them! ), as I undergo my final decent challenge before knee surgery.
Thanks for your support!
