Story
So I am going to be raising money this autumn for a small educational charity in South Africa - called Masicorp - as I slog around the Royal Parks half marathon.
South Africa is a place I have visited several times for work shooting commercials - taking advantage of the rugged beauty (and great weather) - and during those trips I have found it impossible to ignore the inequality of the place.
Masicorp (who I was introduced to by my friend Rich who is also running for them) believes in education as a tool to empower people - uplifting communities and bringing about a radical change in living circumstances for people living in Masiphumelele, South Africa.
Their mission statement is clear: everyone deserves the right to quality education and an open door to opportunity.
Your donations will go towards early learning programmes for pre-schoolers, Learning Labs teaching literacy and numeracy for primary school children, high school programmes, and teaching adults practical skills for future employment. Each year, about 4000 people's lives are touched - thanks to the support they receive from Masicorp.
Obvs I will be paying for my own entry and all the money gifted will go straight to the charity.
Thanks in advance.
