🏃♂️ Running for Rob: A Birthday Marathon with Purpose 🏅
As I approach my 30th birthday on April 21st, I'm taking on an incredibly meaningful challenge - the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon on May 11th. While many know me from The Bidding Room and my work with antiques, today I'm lacing up for something much bigger than myself.
Rob Burrow's story is one of extraordinary courage and resilience. A Leeds Rhinos legend, Rob played over 490 games for the club, winning eight Super League titles before being diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in December 2019. Since then, his brave battle with MND has inspired millions, showing incredible strength and determination while raising crucial awareness for this devastating disease.
Through the Leeds Rhinos Foundation, Rob's legacy continues to make sport accessible to those facing physical challenges. Sport has been a cornerstone of my life - from playing both rugby and football for most my youth and running as often as possible - I believe everyone deserves the chance to experience its transformative power.
My goal is to raise £750 in support of this incredible cause. Every step of this marathon will be dedicated to Rob's fighting spirit and the foundation's mission to ensure that physical challenges don't prevent anyone from participating in the sports they love.
Will you help me make this 30th birthday challenge truly meaningful? Every donation brings us closer to supporting more people through the Leeds Rhinos Foundation and honouring Rob's inspiring legacy.
