On the 29th of September, I will be running the Robin Hood half marathon to raise money for the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Queens Medical Centre - Nottingham.

On the 12th of October 2023 our 6 week old little boy Ellis was rushed to hospital with breathing difficulties. He had contracted RSV and was very unwell. Without the incredible support of the whole team in PICU at The QMC, our outcome may have been very different.

He is now the happiest and healthiest little boy and we have just celebrated his 1st birthday!

The parent liaison team do a brilliant job to support the family of those children being treated in the intensive care and high dependency unit. They offer overnight accommodation close to the unit, food and car park vouchers to help try and support parents going through what is an incredibly difficult time.

All of this can only be made possible because of donations.
