I am running the Brentwood Half Marathon for the 10th consecutive time this year. To celebrate this personal milestone, I am supporting the renovation and repair of the organ at St Mary's church in Shenfield.

I have been singing in the choir there for nearly eight years, and it has been fantastic to be able to provide music for Sunday services and special occasions (even if we are not always entirely note perfect).

The organ needs a little bit of TLC: it is sounding a little wheezy, and currently can't show off all of its capabilities. It even needs its great trumpet serviced, whatever that means!

With your generous support, I hope to be able to contribute to a much-needed update, and carry on the fantastic tradition of music-making in the church.
