Story

Acrisure Takes on the Three Peaks Challenge in Memory of Ian Wicks

Our team of 10 from Acrisure is gearing up for an incredible challenge—the Three Peaks Challenge—which will see us climb the three highest mountains in the UK: Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon, all within 24 hours.

This is the first time we are taking on this event as an Acrisure team, and we couldn’t be more excited to honor the memory of our much-loved colleague, Ian Wicks, by raising vital funds for Brain Research UK.

Ian was a prominent figure within Acrisure, as well as the wider Reinsurance market, known for his leadership, expertise, and dedication. His passing has left a huge impact on all of us, and we’re determined to do something special in his memory.

We’ve set ourselves a team fundraising target of £10,000, with each member of the team aiming to raise £1,000. This challenge is both physically and mentally demanding, but we’re all committed to pushing through in order to support Brain Research UK and the incredible work they do in advancing research into brain conditions such as brain tumours, spinal cord injuries, dementia, and motor neurone disease, to name a few.

A huge thank you to Brain Research UK for their incredible support in making this event happen.

Training is well underway, and the team is prepared for the difficult journey ahead. The event will take place on 7th May 2025, and we’re reaching out to you, our friends, family, and colleagues, to support us in any way you can.

We would be so grateful for any donation, big or small, to help us reach our £10,000 target. Every pound will make a real difference to life-changing research and will drive us forward every step of the way.
