Story
I’m running home for Christmas! A sentence few would say but one that I’m excited and privileged to do.
Starting on the 9th December I will be running home from my university home in Bath to my family home in Horsham.
I will be attempting to cover the 128mile/206km across footpaths, canal paths, fields and roads all before the clocks hit 00:00 on the 10th of December.
Raising money for the homeless is important but even more important during the cold winter months and Christmas.
80% of homeless people have reported having a mental health condition, if you did/didn’t donate to Movember this is another way you can help.
Please donate anything, if you can’t please share your help will be greatly appreciated.
Here are all the ways your money will be put to good use;
- £10 could fund 3 days of food for a St Mungos client
- £16 could help to provide someone who is affected by homelessness with access to a vital health check.
- £25 could help to provide basic clothing for someone recovering from homelessness.
-£29 could help us provide essentials for someone arriving at a St Mungo's hostel.
-£65 could help a frontline worker reach someone sleeping rough.
- £84 could fund two-week food parcels for two vulnerable clients living in one of St Mungos hostels.
-£200 could help teach someone life skills such as paying bills and support them to find a permanent home.
