Story

Team - Jake Chislett, Charlie Sharpe, Tomas Zmolil, Josh Hosford, Michael Prentice and Neal Chainey.

On Saturday 17th of May 2025, five of my friends and I will be participating in the Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge. Running, jogging and walking the full, continuous 100km (62 miles) route from Corfe Castle to Bridport. With over 2,300 metres of climb we will only be stopping briefly for food, water and toilet breaks (no sleep). And let’s put it this way, we are not exactly well seasoned ultra- athletes, but we are willing to grit our teeth and get the job done to raise money for a good cause.

We are fundraising for St Michael's Hospice, Hereford. This was where my beautiful big sister Hannah passed away, shortly after being diagnosed with Stage 4 colorectal cancer. She initially went into the hospice for pain management and had said, that once she had her pain under control and things were back to some sort of normality, she would love to come back and volunteer or fundraise at the hospice. Very sadly, this wasn't to be the case. So, I have decided to start fundraising on her behalf, very much in her memory. I also hope by doing so it will help quiet some of the noise in my own head and improve my mental wellbeing.

The reason I want to raise money for this hospice is because, not only did they provide around the clock care, but they also made a huge effort to make memories for us as a family. Essentially making the best of an extremely shitty situation.

If you can give anything to show your support, it would be very much appreciated.

Some of your sponsorship money will be used to pay for the cost of the event.
