Story
I am running the London marathon again this year, this time for a very special reason, in loving memory of my friend, James Painter who passed away at Jersey Hospice Care on 8th August 2023 following a courageous battle with cancer.
I’m raising £2,500 to support Jersey Hospice Care—a charity that played a pivotal role in his final days. This marathon fundraiser honours James’ life and the incredible work Jersey Hospice Care done for him, his family, and my dear best friend Simone, James’ life partner
Jersey Hospice Care is the island's only specialist palliative care service. As an independent charity, they provide holistic care for patients with life-limiting conditions, ensuring that individuals and their families receive the support they deserve during incredibly difficult times.
The charity makes no charge to its patients, relying entirely on the generosity of donors and sponsors. It costs £16,500 a day to run the charity’s services, a vital resource that touches the lives of so many. Your support will help provide comfort, care, and peace of mind to individuals and families during their most challenging moments.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and support 💙
